The Bear River Community Theater is a 410 seat, performing venue designated for theatre arts education and housing the work of students, community members, and organizations.

A hands on course that focuses on theatrical design. This class is not only theory based, but also provides many  opportunities to design for events on campus (not mainstage). Learn the basics of design and how to draft to scale. This  class is structured in a manner that matches current industry standards for Theatrical Design and strictly follows USITT  standards. The drafting portion of the class does include math. This class is designed for both college bound and not  college bound students that may be interested in pursuing technical theatre or theatrical design as a future occupation. 

 

Technical Theatre 3: For students serious in pursuing technical theatre as a future occupation. This class allows for  students to take ownership of the department or design areas of their choice. Students who chose to take Technical  Theatre 2a will have opportunities such as Production Manager, Technical Director, Stage Manager, Lighting Department  Manager, Director of Projection and Multi-Media, Public Relations, Scene Shop Foreman, and Costume Department  Manager, Master Rigger, Director of Special Effects. Students who chose to take Technical Theatre 2b with have  opportunities such as Artistic Director, Set Designer, Scenic Charge, Lighting Designer, Sound Designer, Costume  Designer, Lead Video Editor, and Makeup/Hair/Wig Designer. These  students are responsible for making sure all  performances / events are designed / managed / staffed to the expectation level of the Director.
