Once a student is diagnosed with a concussion, school health tech/LVN meets with the student daily or every other day to go over symptoms and communicate with parents and coaches regarding which step of the process they are on and any symptoms that are reported. A document or log of reported symptoms is kept and after STEP 3, is given to the family along with the nurse's signature on the physician clearance form to take with them to their appointment to be cleared to move on to STEP 4 and 5.
