2018 Construction Projects Underway Beginning March 26, 2018
Construction at Bear River High School as of 8/10/2018: The new fully automated fire alarm system has been fully tested and is operational now. Installation of new track surfacing is ongoing; extensive sitework is nearly complete with some residual items remaining. The track surface will be completed no later than August 24th. The Building A HVAC system will be entering Phase II of construction beginning on August 13, 2018. Staff will be moving back into their offices in Building A in preparation for the start of school on August 15th.
Construction at Nevada Union High School as of 8/10/2018: Completion of the project, which included a lot of underground
utility work, sidewalks to accommodate ADA path of travel, new student drop-off
areas to alleviate congestion, new non-intrusive LED lighting, a new school
entry stairway and ramp, inviting new landscaping and, of course, a new parking
lot is nearly wrapped up, although there are some residual items remaining. The new parking lot map and traffic pattern can be viewed here. There have been some delays with completion of the railing for the ADA ramp at the front of the school, so wheelchair users will need to use the path of travel shown in this site plan.
Construction at Silver Springs High School as of 8/10/2018: Completion of the new student courtyard with a seatwall and inviting landscaping, paving overlay, ADA path of travel, and sidewalk along the side of the school is nearly wrapped up, although there are some residual items remaining.
