ACS-Hach High School Chemistry Classroom Grant:  Teachers may request up to $1,500 for their ideas.  Eighty nine grants were awarded for 2015-16.  Teachers are typically offered grants for:  Laboratory Equipment & Supplies, Instructional Materials, Professional Development, Field Studies, or Science Outreach Events.  Applicants for the 2016-17 award cycle will be notified of their status by June 30, 2016.  Application cycle is February 1 through April 14, 2018.    
CALIFORNIA CASUALTY ACADEMIC AWARD:  Enter to win $2,500 for classroom supplies, electronics, or educational materials.  Due December 1, 2017  

DOODLE FOR GOOGLE SCHOLARSHIP:  Open to high school students.  Use your creativity to create your own interpretation of the Google logo.   You will be requested to download and complete a one-page official entry form ("Entry Form") with: (a) a doodle that reflects Entrant's creative interpretation of the Contest theme "What inspires me" incorporating the letters from the Google logo ("Doodle"); (b) all information at the bottom of the Entry Form including parents’ consent; and (c) a descriptive artist statement of fifty (50) words or less. Entry Forms can only be submitted by parents, guardians, teachers, non-profit leaders, and after school programs on behalf of Entrants. The doodle and supporting statements must meet the "Doodle Requirements," There will be 53 state and territory winners and 5 national winners (one per grade level).  The top National winner will win a $30,000 college scholarship and $50,000 in value towards the establishment/improvement of a computer lab or a technology program for the U. Kids in Need Teacher Grants  Open to k-12 grade, the awards range from $100-$500.
Krylon Clear Choice Art Scholarship  In an effort to help students with the soaring costs of tuition while also contributing to the fine arts establishment, Krylon awards five scholarships to future fine artists and gives ten students a gift pack of Krylon art supplies:  Five $1,000 Krylon Clear Choice Art Scholarships complete with a gift package of Krylon Artist Sprays and Adhesives.  In addition, the art program at each winner’s school will receive a $500 grant and a large gift package of Krylon Artist Sprays and Adhesives.  Krylon Art Supply Gift Pack:  Ten students and their schools will each receive gift packages of Krylon Artist Sprays and Adhesives.  Due May 31, 2018
Lester G. Benz Memorial Scholarship for College Journalism Study   All high school journalism teachers and newspaper and yearbook advisers who have had at least six semester hours of journalism courses; a minimum of four years teaching experience and advising school publications; currently teaching a journalistic writing class; and a definite commitment to return to the high school classroom and publication advising next year to apply the information gained in the course work taken as a result of this scholarship.  $500 Scholarship for teachers who seek the opportunity to upgrade their journalism skills, teaching methodologies and advising techniques.  Due before April 15    
NASSP National Principals Month Video Contest  Upload a video of no longer than 3 minutes on YouTube online at fs23.formsite.com/farraceb/form71/index.html about why your principal is so great.  Prizes will be delivered to the school administration for the schools that produced the winning videos.  The videos will be judged on originality/creativity, a clear concise message, and technical quality.  Three winners will recieve a $200 Best Buy Gift Card.  Due Sept. 29, 2017 
Raytheon Math Hero Grant:  Math teachers are eligible to receive a $2,500 Math Hero Award for their part in improving math education by using effective and creative ways to learn math drawing on new and advanced approaches.  A matching grant of $2,500 is also awarded to their local school.  May be nominated by a parent, student or school administrator.  Due April 8, 2015

TOSHIBA AMERICA FOUNDATION GRANTS:  Awards grants of up to $5,000 by investing in high school science and math teacher designed projects and making math and science more engaging for their students.  Due twice a year May 1st and November 1st  
VFW Teacher of the Year Awards:  Contest recognizes one exceptional high school teacher each year for their outstanding commitment to teaching Americanism and patriotism to their students.  This teacher's curriculum focuses on citizenship education topics.  This teacher promotes civic responsibility, flag etiquette, and patriotism. This teacher may organize field trips to city hall, organize community volunteer projects, or invite local veterans to speak in class.  Due to your local VFW Post by October 31st 
  • A $1,000 award for professional development expenses. 
  • A $1,000 award for his/her school. 
  • Two award plaques: one for the teacher, the other for his/her school.
  • An all-expenses-paid trip to attend a VFW conference to receive their award.
